Hi,
I would really like WordPress to leave my punctuation alone. Currently WordPress changes the punctuation on my post in a manner that I do not want. I want the punctuation I type and I do not want that to be altered by WordPress.
How can I force WordPress to leave it alone?
You may try this thread:

(hopefully, this advice would turn out better than the wp-cache suggestion... I don't use it, just knew about its existence)

The suggested Text Control add-on is way too much code! It slows down everything. As the known issues list said: Avoid using it if you can.
Got any other suggestions? A simple add-on to simply turn off the formatting would do the trick for me.
Wasn't there in the same thread Otto's solution to turn off the WP formatting?

His add-on did not disable anything. I tried it on my WordPress install, but it did not work. WordPress still changed the punctuation and some formatting. I did not give it much though.
However it is mostly the punctuation that bugs me. Quotation marks, and such.
Oh, you hate the "curly quotes" :)
You are not the only one:

I do not hate them. I just do not want someone to alter my punctuation after I am done with it.
That did the trick! Thanks. :)
