How to make the posting box narrower (2 posts)

    Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to make the WP posting box narrower in width. Currently, as I type a new post (or page) the posting box gets wider and wider and goes under the "Publish" "Page Attributes" etc. widgets on the right side of the page.

My monitor is 20 in wide and the screen resolution is 1024 x 768.

I know that I can use "Control -" to make everything smaller but my vision is just not good enough to shrink the text and still read it without constantly squinting.

I know that I can edit it "Full Screen" mode which I am doing but it very inconvenient to switch back & forth so often.

This didn't use to be a problem until recently so I'm wondering if I have a conflict with a plugin or something else. It doesn't seem to matter what Theme I use & it's the same in the Chrome browser as it is in Firefox.

Can someone tell how to make my posting box the "normal" size again?

    Thank you, Randy

Well you can go alooooong way if you don't enter a period and a space but after you do that the editor seems to know to start a new line. I know you can set the size of the post box but that is just for the number of lines not the width.

Rename the plugin folder and your theme. That will force wp to open with no plugins and with the twentyten theme. Return to normal, one at a time until it breaks.
