   First - bumping is not allowed here.
   Second - why would you want to do that - is displays full width at 1024x768 already. Why would you want it to scroll?

   bumping not allowed ? if no one can view my topic which is buried under so many other topics how do i get an answer ? should i make a new topic ?

   I would like the articles to be a little wider because i would like to add some wider images

   Start by editing the style.css and look for
   

   #wrapper {
     margin: 0 auto;
     width: 960px;
     text-align: left;
     padding: 0;
     }

   Of course, the other elements then need to be expanded as well.

   Scrolling right-left is generally considered poor-usability. The default size works for the majority of computers... until such time that majority moves larger than 1024 pixel width. There are an increasing number of wide-screen monitors. This is one of the reasons wide-screen enthusiasts enjoy floating theme widths, specified in percentages rather than pixels.

   With mobile technology advancing rapidly screen formats to accommodate these devices is the rule. Quite possible that in the not too distant future desktop and laptop computers will be overshadowed by mobile devices with graphic internet access.
