    I want to make my logo overlap the header image. How can I do that? My site is http://churroblog.com

    adding this at the end of style.css of your theme might work:

    a.link_churro_blog { position: relative; }
    span.navigation_spacer { position: absolute; top:10px;left:-250px; }

    (browser compatibility untested; only checked with firefox web developer add-on)

    That worked except I lost my center alignment..

    interestingly, you have chosen to ignore the left: -250px; part of my suggestion ;-(

    I didn't ignore it. It doesn't keep it centered in all the browsers.

    sorry then - ignore my reply.

    you could try to play with some more of these combinations; for instance:

    #churroblog_logo { position: relative; }
    span.navigation_spacer { position: absolute; top:-70px; left:240px; }

    (i make these trials from firefox web developer add-on, and unfortunately, i cannot check cross browser compatibility)
