[resolved] How to make the color of links different from their number count? (10 posts)

    HI, in a twentytwelve-child theme I'd like to make the numbered count of links a different color from the color of the links' text....

    [....using Chrome's 'Inspect Element' feature how can I determine the CSS unique to this myself? sorry for asking but I don't see a way to separate their colors - apart from links in general...]

    thanks

    also, if I could just ask another quick question...can you tell what CSS on this (other) site is causing images in the center column associated with individual authors to be thumbnailed (super small) rather than their full natural size?

    thanks...spend nearly an hour trying to find the CSS causing this to no avail

    2nd question - inline CSS:

    element.style {
        width: 21.4876%;
    }

    First one:

    .avhec-widget-count {
       color:  ;
    }

    .widget-area .cat-item {
        color: red !important;
    }

    .widget-area .cat-item a {
        color: green;
    }

    ooops...sorry, hope this isn't too late....I"m unsure of how to implement the 'in line' code for question #2

    when adding that code to the child's style.css it doesn't seem to work? should this be coded elsewhere, to make the images appear at 100%?

    (such as, for the first image, this size: http://factualfiction.com/lighthouse/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Screen-Shot-2012-05-19-at-8.52.15-PM.png )

    thank again

    LOL - that was a straight answer to "how is that done" on that site :). But to do it on the new site, inline isn't the way to go - but you can likely add external CSS for those images on that page - do you have an author page set up?

    sorry...what do you mean by author page?

    the individual authors and their thumbnailed images are listed here:

    (is that what you mean by "author page"?)

    thanks again...getting late
