Try adding:
#menu li {margin-bottom:10px;}to style.css

Br between in the widgets does neither work -
I don't see the CSS that I suggested in your style.css...

add that to your style.css- however, firefox could not display your site properly, there are a few warnings in the style sheets. -

That did the trick alchymyth
The firefox display was not good however.... Looks fine in Opera and IE.
What could be wrong.
I can`t edit the files in the dashboard editor after the upgrade to 2,8 ( it all freezes and making huge gaps in the code)
so I?m useing MS Frontpage -
1. Don't use FrontPage! Ever! Use a text editor for working offline.
2. If the problem persists, try deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Doesn't matter if you're working offline or online. Don't use Frontpage. It will cause problems.

Personally I love TextPad. Literally couldn't do anything without it.
