I want to make the whole website password protected, not just specific page or post.

    Is there any simple solution/trick?

    Thanks.

  2. I would do a search for a plugin. Here's one that I found - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/password-protect-wordpress/

I haven't tried it, but it looks like it would do what you are asking for.

Thank you Christine, that should work for me, I'll try it out later.

You also can put '<?php if (!is_user_logged_in()) { auth_redirect(); } ?>' between '</head>' and '<body>' in your header.php and style the form yorself for example like this http://thewordpresswarrior.com/742/customizing-the-wp-login-form-without-playing-with-the-wp-core
