   Would be grateful if someone help regarding making the Home page a static one i.e. under which I can post other blog posts.

   Here's a short overview: in your WordPress Admin

   1) Create two Pages (example: Home, Blog)
   2) Go to Settings > Reading
   3) Select "A static page"
   4) Set Front Page to "Home"
   5) Set Posts Page to "Blog"
   6) Save
   7) Enable permalinks
