    Hello,
I am trying to make a full width page in my word press theme, which is blackbird. I have looked online and some say just look on the right and select full width template but my version doesn't seem to have that option. I have a Default Template or a Blog Template, for my pages. I looked online and some others suggested creating a full width template. If that is what I must do, please explain it-----like I'm totally new to this, Because I am! I won't understand if you skip steps or presume anything.

So, without presuming what you mean by a full width, how wide (in % or pixels) do you want which part of the website?

I believe that the width would be 850px. This would be the width of my content area if I am
    Able to do this

This explains about how to make a custom template.

You can probably start with a copy of the existing template and remove the sidebar and then adjust the CSS to make the main section wider.
