How to make current-page name on menu highlighted? (5 posts)

I'd like to display the menu-name of the current page in a color different from the other page names in the menu. I've looked at most of the pages in the template and don't see any likely suspects. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks. I can see that article is generally on the subject, but I don't know enough to translate that into what to do to change the color of the menu-name of the current page.

Well. I understand that you want the menu item for the page you are reading to be highlighted.

    Read this :

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Dynamic_Menu_Highlighting

The main idea is to assign the class "current" (or wathever) to the list item when you are reading the page with a conditionnal tag (if is page x, then the li class for this page = current).

Thanks, SimonJ. That article looks like it's intended for what I want. However, instead of tackling that I just now put a question on the blog of the author of the theme I'm using to see if he can give me a way to do it. It that doesn't work I'll dig into that article on my own.
