Hello,
I developed recently a new plugin but I don't understand how to enable auto update.
In this very moment on the repository I can see version 0.33, and it install correctly 0.33 if I download it from there or from wp's backend, but it does not update if I got an older version installed.
I got a test blog for that plugin where I left installed version 0.31 and I expect that WordPress alert me I need to update it to 0.33 but it does not.
How can I enable that, to make sure all the user will use the most updated version?
Thanks,
Carlo
Give it some more time to check for updates, post again if it still hasn't filtered through in 24 hours.

Thanks, it worked.. just have to wait.
But now I think I still have another anomaly: if I go to the plugin page, under the tab stats I find that 100% of active versions are still the old one (0.31) while I expect some user should have the new one (0.33): almost the users have downloaded it yesterday and today must have the new one (and one is myself).
don't be so quick! wait a few days and see what happens.

sorry again, i still read that 100% of active versions are 0.31 - released 2 weeks ago - while the current version is 0.351 and 6 version came through.
I still think something went wrong and don't know where to investigate.
hmmm I've just looked at your readme, stable tag: trunk might be confusing things.
I'll ask someone to take a look.
Stats are behind a couple of days. And even then, they're not going to be very accurate unless you have a lot of users. Currently I don't see any reports of active users in the database, so I wouldn't expect the stats to show anything of value.
Thanks Otto - I'd forgotten that the stats only reflect active versions.
