I came across this multi-user commentary blog on BBC and so loves it. I want to introduce it to my college for people to write about their thoughts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereporters/

Please please tell me how I can do it with WordPress, my dear WordPress experts.

-You can click the username to see all posts by him/her and also his biography on the right.
-The contributor can insert his/her image so it appears in all his/her posts.
-Configure such that author does not need admin review to post things directly.

If you have better solutions on this than WordPress, let me know too!

    Thank you so much!!!

    Ben,
    Greetings from Swarthmore College

    1) Search for a plug-in to do that.
    2) If none, write your own.
    3) Otherwise wait until I make it, but that could take some time, as I am busy ;)

Well, it isn't all that hard (seriously, if you know what you are doing).

1&2: You can use the get_the_author() (or relating functions) to get the name of the author and then use the name to get authors' picture and link the picture and/or name to the author's bio (which you will have to create in 'Pages', with a custom template).

3: You can change the author's roles to Editor. See Roles and Capabilities.
