    Hello,

    WP3.8 with a basic child theme of twentyThirteen. http://www.healthynutrition.co.nz.

    I have a text widget in my secondary (footer) widget area. The page renders with this: <aside id="text-2" class="widget widget_text masonry-brick" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 240px;"><h3 class="widget-title">* DISCLAIMER: </h3> <div class="textwidget">[text content]</div>
    </aside>

    I need to make it much wider than it is. It is only 248 px wide and the footer grows too tall. I want to spread it out across the widget area.

    How do I do this? I tried altering css for textwidget, with no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    I made some small progress in that I got it wider using this:

    .sidebar .site-footer .widget {
    width: 100%;
    }

    It now is wider, but it's under the previous widget (the search) instead of beside it.

    hmmm...
