   You know how they have all those image sliders for your homepage... I want a text slider. You input text, and then click left and right.

   Example is http://www.wphell.com/wordpress-themes/featured-themes/anticipate/

   You can get this kind of slider with Roster or Listic Slider WordPress plugin available on SliderVilla.com. You just need to select NO to images and then your selected number of words from excerpt or content will come as sliding content. You can embed the same on homepage or other locations. You can have multiple sliders on single page as well.

   These plugins can help you create multiple sliders with multiple settings on WordPress blog. For example, you can have one slider with text only and then other with text and image as well. You can also run advertisements in between the sliders.
