I was going to write more, but I thought I might become redundant. I want a "welcome" post that stays at the top of my blog at all times. Like regardless of how many other posts I make, the first one is always a welcome post.

    make it sticky.

in your main navigation, go to posts, select the post you want to always stay on top and click "quick edit".. then on the right side, under post tags, you will see a checkbox called "make this post sticky".. just check it off and you're done! :)

Cool thanks, it seemed like it should be pretty easy... I just wasn't seeing how to do it.

My site, by the way, is http://www.stuffblowingup.com

I need to make a welcome post, and maybe short disclaimer.

Thanks a million for this helpful post. Perhaps in a future upgrade, WP can add that function to the regular "edit post" area, as well. WP ROCKS!

Donna, it's in the regular edit post area.

On the upper right of the Publish Box, you see the 'Visibility' section? Click on that and there's a checkbox for Make Sticky :)
