I am using a custom them called Boldy.
I would like to start a blog section but everything I've tried has proved futile.
I have created a blank page titled "Blog" and have made a post.

Question.......How can I make the posts magically appear on the "Blog" page?
My site is quite static and just need to add a blog section to it hence the above request.

If anybody on here has a clue about this then kindly help me get this working as it would be a real shame to have a blog site and unable to get the blog working.

    Silly really...!

Under your Administration Panels (aka Dashboard):

    Under Settings | Reading -
Click the radio button beside "A static page (select below)"; and then choose your "Blog" page from the drop-down beside "Posts page:"

See how that works for you ...

PS: Bumping your own threads may cause others to not read them.

Thanks for the tip but sadly, it doesn't work.
I did as you suggested but when I select the page that is for posts(Blog), I get the homepage.
A bit odd I know but this really has me baffled.
    My site is HERE

Thanks for trying but it doesn't work either.

Let me try to explain this more plainly if at all possible.
I'm using a theme that is called Boldy.
I already have a homepage but it is unlike a normal page setup because it is done via the Boldy options panel in the WordPress dashboard.

    Stay with me on this.............

I created a POST and I also created a blank Page called "Blog".
Then I went to Settings > Reading and selected option for STATIC PAGE option.
I left the first option as is and selected BLOG in the second option.

I hope you follow my actions and can now understand the issue as the blog simply does not work and cannot figure out how to make POSTS appear in the BLOG page.

Hope this helps anyone else having the same problem with this bug.

Now try re-reading the page I linked to above and ensuring that you provide a selection for both the front page and the main posts page.

Which is to say, you can't do this:

I left the first option as is and selected BLOG in the second option.

You have to fill in BOTH if you want the second option to work.

But my issue now is, how do I make the homepage appear the same when the actual page does not exist in the pages section?
It is created via the Boldy theme options panel.
Now do you see what I'm getting at.

    Boldy is a premium theme

You would need to ask at Site5 how to apply their special theme settings to a static front page. It may not be possible.

Thanks for the heads up Ipstenu.
I will ask them and let you know the outcome as it might be beneficial to someone else.

    Many thanks again.

    Hi Ipstenu and all.
I managed to get it working I think.
The problem was that I created a blank page and was trying to link it with the posts from the blog. Wrong way.

I named category as Blog and selected this in the Boldy options panel.
Then had to go to Appearance > Menus and add link which in this case was mywebsite/blog and add it to main menu with the title "Blog" as you can now see at brightonseo.net/blog
