Good day
I'm trying to link a word or phrase to one of my posts, like described here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/
(paragraph 4)
However I don't get option for the search box.
Instead when I highlight my word or phrase, I get a popup that gives me options for:
Link URL
Title
Target
Class
I don't get "Link to existing site content".
Is there something wrong or is it because I'm using the self hosted version it's different? If so, how might I do it?
Thanks!
that page is for WordPress.com blogs, not self hosted ones.
that functionality is coming in version 3.1 though.

Thanks mate. In the meanwhile, what do I need to do to link my posts to my keywords or phrases? Is there a page with instructions?

Linking now? I'm not linking anything, mate. The option I can access using the link button only lets me link to external URLs. I'm trying to link to my own posts.
you can add a link to your post via that as well, same as any external site, you just need to know the URL

Idiot! Why didn't I think of that! Thanks mate it's working perfectly.
One last question: what is the link class?
hiddenSpellerror
hiddenGrammarerror
hiddenSuggestion
etc
I can't find a straight answer to it on the net. I find references to CSS and people praising that functionality, but not exactly what is IS.
I take it I don't have to really worry about it as what I want is working fine. But I'm curious anyway.
Once again thanks!
where are you seeing those classes?

First highlight the phrase or word you want to link to.
The click on the "insert/ edit link" button.
It brings up an option window that lets you
Link URL
Target
Title
Class --> drop down menu
all i see is:
- aligncenter
- alignleft
- alignright
- wp-caption
- wp-caption-dd
- wpGallery
- wp-oembed
- alignnone
- wp-smile
So the others are possibly being added by a theme or plugin.

Hi Rich
Thanks again.
Well, where do I find out what even those do? Such as WP-caption, alingone, etc?
