    Hi guys,

I've been using the formidable plugin to create forms, I'm about to write a fairly simple plugin (technically speaking), but there is something I can't figure out and google is not helping.

When using formidable, if you want to embed a form created within formidable within a post, you just add [formidable id=xx] within a post and it renders the form. Does anybody know of an article, or even what this type of hook or interaction is called, so that I can learn to write a plugin, where I can just put [my_plugin] within a post and it will call the functionality of my plugin?

    Cheers

To help your Google searches: The term you're looking for is "Shortcode".
