    e-Commerce Solution for WordPress.

    Hi all,

My name is Roya Khosravi, and I'm a project leader from France. Today, I'm very excited to release my latest open source project :
    WP-osCommerce : osCommerce for WordPress.

WP-osCommerce (or WP.osC ) allows you to Integrate your osCommerce store in WordPress Blog/Website. No need to change the look and feel of your WordPress website. WP-osCommerce integrates transparently into the existing WordPress website and matches your WordPress theme exactly.

WP-osCommerce (WP.osC) enables interoperability between osCommerce and WordPress. In fact WP-osCommerce is a modified version of osCommerce, one of the most popular ecommerce solutions. The main difference between WP.osC and osCommerce, is that WP.osC uses the same Theme system (template) as WordPress.

This is very interesting, I briefly looked over your website, I am assuming that the management of the store will run seperately from the Dashboard in wordpress correct? Meaning that it's a seperate installation altogether (directory, database, etc.)

    Thanks hbalagh and cotton.

Yes in fact these are two separate installations.

Exactly the same as osCommerce. I have juste added a Theme systeme like WordPress to osCommerce, without touching any of its core functions.

    Thanks :)

Just curious about CReloaded? My partners and I have been contemplating this solution for e-commerce platform on some client projects. I know that the two are pretty closely related. Any plans to include CReloaded?

Hello, this is great - hats off to you Sir, indeed why not a standing ovation!!

I installed it and works wonderfully with the new wp-OSC download.

However, like many others (I suspect) I would like to use the files from my existing Oscommerce install - because it is already a heavily modified OSC store and I don't want to have to start again from scratch with a new WP-osc store!

So, do you have any documentation that would explain this kind of "upgrade"?

Which files do I need to take from your WP-OSC to install the WP them in my existing store - and what changes (if any) and where, need to be made in my exisiting files (e.g. application top) so that I would be able to use my own osc file set?

    Thank you in advance!

    Roya, thank you so much!

I am using a custom theme for my wordpress blog (earthlingtwo). The blog shows that template just fine, but the wp.osc shows the old default Kubrick theme that I had for my blog before I installed the custom theme. However, the widgets for wp.osc work just fine in my current blog.

Is it possible to get wp.osc to show my custom theme, or will it only display standard wordpress themes?

    Thank you for the help!
    Tim
