How to install new Stylesheet?

    I have picked up a few stylesheets that I would like to install into my new WP blog (switched from Movable Type).
    I just am stuck… How the heck do I add the new stylesheets? I see there is a template I can alter… but where do I put the stylesheets? And what about the images they contain.
    One I would like to impliment is Rubric
