   Hi I'm new to wordpress.. I downloaded it but couldn't got it clear how to make it run... I'm on xp and did all database setup using wamp for windows I had to ask that is wordpress installs same like joomla installs or it doesn't requires wamp... And can it be used as offline on local server than after final work done we can upload it to the host... Thanks

   Hi,
   yes you can do that.

   follow these steps.

   1. Create database using php myadmin.

   2.copy wordpress setup in wamp directory and extract it and run it from browser typing

   http://localhost/wordpress

   here wordpress is directory name you can change it.
