You didn’t have to download it.
Login to your WP and select Appearance > Themes.
At the top, there is a tab: “Install Themes” – select this, type “Hatch” into the search box and press “Search”, and when the Hatch theme shows, select “Install Now”.
It will install automatically.
hi – thanks for your reply. I am however still having trouble.
Not sure if I have an old version of wordpress (if so how do I update it??) but there isn’t a tab saying install themes. Once I go to Appearance > Themes it shows the available themes and has a search box. I search for ‘Hatch’ and it doesn’t show as being available. However if I log out of WP and just look over the available themes ‘Hatch’ is represented.
I do know and have changed themes many times through my current version of WP I just can’t seem to find Hatch when I am logged into WP – and I have ‘downloaded’ it (via the download button next to the Hatch description) but have no idea how to activate it to my account.
Any chance you know what I’m doing wrong??
If you already have downloaded it, navigate to :
http://example.com/wp-admin/theme-install.php?tab=upload
Replace example.com
with your own domain name.
You will see the Install a theme in .zip format
option. Click choose and select the file. then click the Install now
button.
Edit : What is your domain name ? Are you using WordPress software hosted on own server or wordpress.com
blog ?

If your URL is http://photobymaree.com/ then you have a WordPress.COM blog and should ask at http://en.support.wordpress.com/ for support.
A explanation of the differences can be found at this link. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you have a self-hosted WordPress installation (which we support here) please share the URL with us. 😉
