• Does anyone know how to increase the maximum content a post will allow?

I’ve hit a bump for the first time for a long post that will not show the full content in the published version of the post.

I tried deleting the last image that appears in the published post, and a little over 3 more paragraphs appeared in the post. This leads me to think there is a maximum amount of content that you can write for a post.

All images I used are jpeg files, and no flash other than 4 YouTube videos, so there is nothing out of the ordinary that would create errors.

I tried using the script to add a second page <!–nextpage–> in hopes that might resolve the issue but it didn’t add another page.

    Here is the post:

  • I also use (one) WordPress to publish articles. I never ran into a maximum length of posts. Your goes all the way down to “Other means…” and sources. That’s not the end of it?
    (Btw. magnificent photos!)

    Thanks Gangleri!

You surprised me when you said that you could see ‘sources’ etc, as I couldn’t see past half-way down the section on the Lascaux caves. I’ve cleared history and private data numerous times while using FireFox, hoping that’s all that it was, but it always appeared the same to me.

When I had deleted an image, it showed about 3 more paragraphs than it had before.

So after your comment I looked at the post using IE7, and everything is there! Now that is very weird.

If you think the photos were great (which they were as credit to the photographers), you should see the Carlsbad Caverns in person. Absolutely amazing, the photos don’t do them any justice.

Thanks so much for your comment, you’ve saved me hours of wasting further time on this.

I use IE6 at work, and all the rest at home, but I can’t check FF for you right now.

Carlsbad Caverns is a little bit too far I’m afraid, but we have similar (yet smaller) caves at some places in Europe.

Thanks so much, at least I now know it hasn’t anything to do with the post showing content since I can see it in IE. I’ll email a couple of friends who use FF and ask them if they can see the full content, and try to figure out my FF problem.

I really appreciate your help, thanks!
