   Hi all,

   I'm trying to hide the "uncategorized" category from showing up in the categories widget (currently included on the index page). I am also using the F8 (not Lite) theme.

   Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

   A few options:

   - remove all posts from Uncategorized (the widget doesn't usually display categories that are empty)
   - change the word "Uncategorized" to something more acceptable, like General
   - remove the default categories widget and use something more customized in your theme that omits the Uncategorized category
   - use a plug-in that lets you customize which categories are displayed, like Extended Categories Widget
