   Im using wordpress 2.63 and I have many categories.. And I want only the main news on the homepage, i want to disable or clear off the miscellaneous or other not important post form homepage but i still want them in the categories.. Just that it shows only the news.. How may I do so?? I just want to choose the right categories for homepage and some categories disable from homepage, is there a plugin or a way to do so??

   The Advanced Category Excluded Plugin should take care of this for you.

   i tried it but it doesnt worked.. :( its only till wordpress ver2.60.. mine is 2.63.. any other solution..?

   I'm using it with version 2.6.5 without any problems. Perhaps it is conflicting with your theme or another plugin.

   I wrote an article with a code based solution for this issue - you will may be able to adapt it for your needs.

   ok.. err.. I'll get on to try it, i usually installed plugins by uploading the whole extracted folder into wp-content/plugins but this ACE's Installation guide here:- http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-category-excluder/installation/

   Says that only upload advanced_category_excluder.php to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

   Sorry, im not very good in blogging or coding stuffs regarding wordpress blogs or what so ever.. please help..:)
