   Hello,

   Could someone tell me how to exclude/hide a category from the standard latest news widget in wordpress?

   Latest News widget? Do you mean the Recent Posts widget? if so, then I'm afraid you can't. None of the native widgets are customisable beyond the options available within their own dropdowns.

   You're probably best looking for a Recent Posts plugin that offers enhanced customisation.

   Thank you, i allready figured out with the r.marsh recent posts plugin
