    Hi there,

If you don't want a post to appear on the homepage at all, you can make your homepage a static front page. That way, any posts would only appear on the blog proper of your website. Here are some great instructions on Creating a Static Front Page.

    Thanks for your reply, mar1965.
I want only a paragraph from a post to hide.
For example, this post: http://wordpress.org/news/2012/07/event-organizers-unite/ .
If you click on post (on post page), to show all paragraphs.
And on homepage to see all paragraphs : http://wordpress.org/news except one of them. For example "The contributor summit that is being planned for the end of October....etc"

    Hi,

I missed your last message! I am not sure if you've resolved your issue. Are there specific characteristics for the post that you would like not to be displayed on the homepage?
