It seems anybody can access to the whole contents of your wordpress website by just typing something at the back of your website address to return to the “404 Not Found” page. This “404 Not Found” page will list down all your pages as well posts. My problem is some of the pages are private and only for certain people to view. With this “404 Not Found” show up, there will be no privacy. As such, I need your help how to overcome this problem.

Your theme likely has added a function to the 404 page that lists the pages and posts from your site. What theme are you using?

Most of the themes have the option for a 404 page redirect. However the ones which do not have one, the link mentioned above is the best one to follow.
