How to have widgets on some PAGES and not on others? (5 posts)

    I am busy with creating a site based on TwentyEleven. The site has a view static pages and some blogs, which basically bring news and marketing text.
    What I want is the home-page free of widgets, but on other pages I like to show the widgets. I have DL/ed TwentyEleven Extensions plugin, which works great, but it sets widgets for all pages or none.
    My guess is I need to override the CSS for the home page, but allthough I am learning I am not yet very knowledgeable in how to get things done. Can´t find the home page for instance in my installation directory. It´s probably stored in the MySQL database.

    How to keep only the first or home page free of widgets?

    TIA,
    Hans Brouwer

    Try a custom sidebar.php file and change:

    if ( 'content' != $current_layout ) :

    to:

    if ( 'content' != $current_layout || is_front_page() ) :
