How to have two excerpts ?

    Can I have two excerpts for one post? So that I can call them at two different pages?

    For example
    I have
    home page: example.com
    blog page: example.com/blog
    post page: example.com/blog/post-1

    Now, I am showing summary of post 1 on two pages i.e example.com and example.com/blog, currently these two summaries are same. But I want to publish unique summaries on each page. So how can I have two excerpts for one post.

    Whole website is not on wordpress, but only blog does.
    Version used for blog: WordPress 3.4.2.

    Your answer lies in custom fields. There are many plugins that make using custom fields easier than doing it yourself, but this is what you’ll need. This way you can have the normal excerpt, and the unique one can be a custom field instead.
