How to have those codes for comments?

    Last year, on my yearbook website, we got lots of spam from bots. The administrators at our school did NOT like them.. if you know what I mean.

    So this year, I re-installed wordpress to start off fresh. I also turned the option off for search engines to see the website.

    Is there a hack or plugin I could install to prevent bots? Such as those codes like “Qhe7dhs” or whatever? Sorry, I don’t know what they are called.

    Search the web for robots.txt. That only works for the nice guys, though. Bot’s can be annoying but they aren’t the spam problem. Search for comment spam plugins. I have my favorite and odds are high your wordpess has Akismet waiting for you to activate it.
