Basically you can create and define Attributes for products,
and than create variations using those attributes.
But if you need some more/complicated calculations depending on user input, than you have to look for plugins such as Product Add-Ons, Gravity-Forms Product Addons, etc…
Thanks MahusH but I’m new to woocommerce so not sure which product add-ons are you referring? Can you elaborate?
In fact, I find it is such a pain to enter all the different variables for the same product. If I’ve many products with 3 or 4 different variables then it could be quite tedious, right? Or maybe I’ve missed out something I didn’t know. I’m hoping there is a better way to do it!

These are the ones I can see as to be related to your request.
Btw, if you need functionality more than the default WooCommerce features, you can try to ask for the Woo’s help before buying any extensions. I hope they can help.
