How to go to a specific location after clicking category

On my Webpage, http://wordpress.justinmaier.com, I am using a template were there are separated called tabs. i just got things up and running, but it is still very buggy (it doesnt work good in IE etc.). one thing i would like to fix that i have no idea how to do, is make it so when i click the category of posts i want to view, it would automatically go to the blog tab… ultimately, make it so it automatically adds “#blog-tab” to the end of “?cat=#”
