How to give login failed message above the form

Dear developer,
Your plugin is fantastic and I am happy to use . But I need a
Login failed message on my page that come with query string.

My query string when failed login is

http://www.xyz.com/w-incorp/?page_id=48?login=failed

I checked to get the $_GET in file loginBar.php .

But that’s not working . Please advise how I can implement
same condition check and show a message.
