    Hi,

Just looking for some assistance on how to get a wordpress plugin approved for the directory. We have submitted twice and were under the assumption that we would be given a subversion file, but nothing ever came. And we can't seem to find direct contact information on the matter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

To get a plugin added to the available list, you need to submit it using this form: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add/

Plugins are approved manually, so it make take a few days or even a week or two to hear back. My first plugin took over a week to be approved.

    Hi,

Yes, did that. Twice. It has been 2 weeks on the second attempt and over 8 on the first. Kind of frustrating. Any other thoughts?

One idea, report it as a site bug: http://wordpress.org/report-bugs/ Maybe your post never got through in the first place.

Also, I'd recommend hosting the plugin on your own website as well and posting links to it in the forums. That way, interested developers can still get their hands on it even if the guys at WP haven't gotten around to it yet.

In any case, I'm sure they'll get on it eventually. It just might take a while.

    Still nothing.

Any other ideas? Losing my mind here. Funny thing is, is that I am installing wordpress sites and cannot even get my plugin via the very system I am using.

    Thanks again,
    Darren

The only other thing you can do other than poking and proding the WP team is to host the plugin on your own site and advertise the link in the forums. It's good practice to have a download available from your own website anyway, actually.
