[resolved] How to get table to show in Anthologize book (4 posts)

    Hello Tobias,
    I am trying to make a book of all my blogging using Anthologize. Much info, however, is in tables, which is being showm in the output of Anthologize text as just the shortcode
    [table id=1/]
    instead of the table.
    I tried exporting the table html and putting that into the blog in place of [table id=1/].
    That worked, in terms of getting my table into the Anthologize book but the format on my blog was compromised in appearance. Cf with my beautiful table here.

    You gave me some code to put into WP TableReloaded under Plugin options that looks like this..

    .wp-table-reloaded th { font-family: Verdana; font-size: 15px!important;font-weight: 600!important;
    background-color: #8dbcbf!important; color: #3c3c3c; text-align: center!important;
    }
    .wp-table-reloaded td { font-family: Verdana; font-size: 14px!important; color: #3c3c3c;
    text-align: left!important;
    }
    .wp-table-reloaded .odd td { background-color: #e1f0f1!important;
    }

    I tried putting that in the PlatformPro Custom Code but it didn't make the nice looking table. I'm stuck. I don't know what else to try.

    Hi Pat,

    thanks for your post.

    I don't really know how Anthologize works, by my assumption is that it is just grabbing the page/post content "plain", in the same form as it comes from the database or has been entered into the editor. Due to that, table Shortcodes are not executed.

    Copying in the HTML code from the export will at least give you the data, but then (as you have noticed) the styling is missing... There are two reasons for this: First, the table from the export does not have the necessary CSS classes attached to it. This however could be fixed, by not taking the HTML code from the export, but by copying from the source of the page where the table is originally shown on your site.
    Second, the actual CSS code will be missing in Anthologize. To change that, you'll have to add not only the code from the "Custom CSS" textarea on the "Plugin Options" screen, that you have posted, but also the CSS that WP-Table Reloaded adds to the page from its "plugin.css" file in the "css" folder of the plugin directory.

    I'm not sure if this will work or help, but unfortunately, it's the only thing that I can really think off. Sorry :-(

    Regards,
    Tobias
