    Theme:Thesis 1.5.1

When I open the dashboard for my domain, http://mpidirect.com, the message that greets me at the top of it is:
Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public
To correct this issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to /home/lawren37/public_html/wp-content/backup-db
Neither I, nor Hostgator (and they seem to know what they are doing) can figure out how to get rid of this phantom file. I say phantom file because, unless it is hidden in some dark corner, it doesn’t exit.
I am using the latest version of WP-DBManager.

On linux machines files that begin with a . (period) are considered hidden files. Your FTP application should have instructions on displaying hidden files.

As Joe said, .htaccess my be hidden to your ftp client. However, if use your cpanel file administration tool, the files will be visible to you.
