[resolved] How to get name box above email (2 posts)

    I've followed your directions and gotten the name box to match the email box on my Streamline theme.

    However, when I set it up to go in the newsletter banner at the top of the screen below the navigation buttons, the name goes to the left of the email field and neither of them fit into the design.

    Is there a way I can set it up so that the name box sits on top of the email box and both boxes fit within the colored space provided?

    Also, the background color of the box looks slightly whiter than the cream box for the email field. Is there a way to match the colors? Thanks!

    Hi,

    This is a bit more complex than I can knock out fully, but I can point you in the right direction. It's a CSS issue, which is completely handled by your theme and not the plugin.

    In your theme's style.css, near line 503, you'll see .newsletter #subscribe {
    within the rules that follow add
    width: 366px;
    and change the margin line to
    margin: -45px 10px 0 0

    You'll likely want to add a

    .newsletter .enews #subbox, .newsletter .enews #subbox1 {
    padding: 9px 10px 8px 50px
    }

    to get it to fit better.

    You may want to add a post to the StudioPress forums since someone may have done something similar with the CSS in Streamline already and have some additional pointers.

    Thanks.
