Hi - I've designed my css + xhtml and am trying to convert it into wordpress blog using Tessa Blakeley Silver's book "WordPress Theme Design"

This is how it looks outside of wordpress:

    http://www.greensmoothie.com/test/mainwp.php

I'm working locally on my hard drive. I installed wordpress correctly at
    c:wamp\www\gs\

and the default theme showed up fine, then I created + chose mytheme and it works fine to that point. I can see:

    http://localhost/gs/

displaying my index.php with no css formatting.

Now comes the problem. I replaced this line in index's xhtml:

    <link href="<?php echo $rpath ?>/1cde/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />

    with this:

    <link href="<?php bloginfo('style.css'); ?>" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />

and I copied style.css out of subfolder \1cde into same folder as

    \wp-content\themes\mytheme\index.php

but makes no diff - it's not reading the css.

I also copied all the other files like header.php, recip.php into the mytheme folder, out of their subfolders - but each time I'm being told there's no such file.

Please can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

Do you know anyone - or anywhere that I can find someone - who will move my files (index, header, footernav, footer) into wordpress at low cost?

    thanks, Val
