How to get front page to only show front page posts?

    If a post is made which goes to two pages, including the front page, but then I want to take it off the front page and only display it on the second page, how do I do that? I thought I could just deselect the front page category but it still remains on the front page after that. Where am I going wrong?

    What do you mean by “second page”?

    By the way, it depends on the theme you’re using and more ever, the way it display home page posts.

    Well, it’s a town web site. So posts by the select board are posted both on the front page and the select board’s page (the second page). After a few days, the select board member that posts items un-clicks the “front page” category in an effort to make the post only appear on the select board page. There’s less clutter on the front page this way. But it doesn’t drop off the front page. It remains there.

    And the theme is Twenty Ten.
