How to get back to the dashboard without logging out and back in (5 posts)

Currently, I have a login link to get to the dashboard, but would like to add a link to get back into the dashboard (say, if you're writing, click on view, and want to go back to the dashboard and are currently logged in). How do I do this? Also, what file controls this? I have a customized theme: http://www.ovationsforthecure.org/whispernetwork

I'm sorry. What I meant was how do I add this link to the sidebar under Login/Participate? I can't seem to find where this is in the theme files.

Ah. You're using the meta widget there. So, the short answer is that you don't. The meta widget is not easily editable.

If you want to have customized links there, put a new Text Widget in its place, and add your HTML links into that. Then you can have any links you like.

Also, you won't need the login link so much that way. If you go to wp-admin when you're not logged in, it will automatically take you to the login screen and then to the admin screen when you login.

Silly me for overlooking that! Thanks so much for your help.
