How to get a group gallery from one thumbnail using rel

Really liking the options available in your plugin as I’ve been looking for something like this for ages.

I need a gallery plugin that will deliver several images in a modal window but from a single thumbnail (See a Joomla example (No. 3 the motorbike) at . I do this a lot in Joomla using JCE MediaBox or Simple Image Gallery Pro.

It looks like your plugin offers this in WordPress as I can see reference to the rel attribute, but I cannot see any example of how to implement this. I’m using v1.7-RC. I’m developing a site for a client who’s never even seen WordPress so I’m hoping to do as much of the configuration as possible and keep it simple for them.

Ideally, I’d like the client to be able to create a gallery page which has several thumbnails that each link to different albums. Template ‘Simple’ (file-gallery-examples/) is quite close to what I’m after, but I don’t need the mini-thumbnail grid and need the navigation next/prev within the modal lightbox window. Would really appreciate any documentation or a tutorial on how to implement this, if it is possible, or even how to get the Simple template example working!
