I have what I am sure is a simple question. I am new to blogging and I know no html but I have begun experimenting with it a little in text formatting. So I am learning by trial and error how to make text bold or italicized or how to add a hyperlink using and so on. I still haven't figured out how to apply color to text but that is besides the point.
Right now I would like to format my blog post titles. I would like to do the very things I outline above. For instance, I would like my blog titles to appear large and bold. The only way I have found to do this is to use html code but then the html tags show up when people hover over the title link and this looks bad.
When editing the post in WP-admin, I use HTML mode now. But even when I switch to Visual mode as shown below, none of the editing tools displayed in the toolbar affect the title - only the body of the post.
My question is this. What is the best practice for editing blog post titles so that they look the way I want without displaying ugly code when people hover over them?
