How to Filter Displayed Posts

    I have several posts but want only certain ones to show up in a blog.
    I believe I can do this by using IDs and categories but I’m not sure how it works. I have set the reading settings page for display but don’t know how to filter which posts will show up on this page.
    My blog page is “news” and I don’t want any of the “pic” pages to show up.
