How to exclude category

    Hi,
    I need the same function as in news sitemap. I must exclude a category “video” because I noticed that it isn’t well to put posts in a normal sitemap (yours) and into a video-sitemap. It’s duplicate and it seems that google are get problems with it. So I want cut videos from your sitemap. So I must know how to exclude a singular category. I don’t habe much expierence in coding but i read that i must add a modul in function.php?
