    I am having the same problem i just want to secure some pages i choose and the admin area! if anyone has an answer please help!

    For some plugins to work, and for other reasons, you may wish to set your WordPress URI in options to reflect the https protocol by making this setting https://mysite.com. Your blog address should not change.

    This keeps SSL for pages that you link to that have SSL and once you go to a page without SSL it leaves SSL as you would want.

    I tried this plugin, if it helps anyone, and it worked well for an e-commerce site that has an SSL. I was able to secure the cart pages, but leave the other pages without the security.
