   I've got WPMU 2.8.1 & BuddyPress 1.0.3 running and Smart YouTube plugin 3.2 and that's all good. When I validate my feed FeedValidator recommends against inclusion of Smart YouTube. I'd be happy to remove the embed in the feed since I just want the feed to include the text portion anyway.

   Any way to turn off this RSS feed embeding while maintaining the embed on the post?

   Smart YouTube says: "Some RSS feed readers like Bloglines will show embeded YouTube videos. Some will not...Smart YouTube will always embed the video..." so to stop it must mean a code tweak not a setting change.

   There is a plugin out there called "embedit". Not sure if thats what you're looking for but it embeds video in a post, but the video doesn't show up in the RSS, just the text does.
   If I'm not on the right track I'm sorry. Just thought it might help :)

   Thanks stales89, I found "embedit" but the developer is outside the Plugin Directory so I have little means of knowing how popular the plugin is or how frequently it's updated & supported.

   Nonetheless I tried "embedit" only to find that it does indeed embed the video in the RSS as well.
