    @thejessicapage: if you see the default icon featured image for a post, it means that no image was found for that post. You have different options to change this situation:

    – Add appropriate featured images or first images to your post to have them displayed. The images don’t even have to be part of the post as long as they are attached to it with the WordPress image library feature;
    – If you don’t want to have an image at all, just remove the thumbnail item from the “Display and theme” template setup box;
    – If you want to display your actual posts’ featured image, change the “Image source” tab setting for the thumbnail image, try the different available sources (featured image / first image / first attachment), to find the one that matches the way featured images are attached to your post;

    Thank you for your reply. That was helpful. I was also able to add the styles to my stylesheet to change them.
