   Ok, I am very new to wordpress and I understand html enough but I am looking at this code I need to paste into 'somewhere' to get my page to be a page of posts.

   I am using the Twenty-Ten template, not modified.

   I understand the copy/paste of the code thing but how and where to I put it...?

   I need detailed step by step ;(

   no, that is the finish for me, i get that part.

   its the CREATING, SAVING, and IMPORTING of the files that i dont understand what format do you save it in, does it only need that info copy/paste info that is provided, what program do you use to import it...?

   You need to learn the Template Hierarchy, then use something like Filezilla to access the files on your host, and edit/create the appropriate Templates

   Also see Stepping_Into_Template_Tags and Stepping_Into_Templates. Also a google search for the terms "wordpress introductory creating theme" should get you going.
