    Hi there,

    The link to the plugin I am talking about is:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/fs-real-estate-plugin/

    I want to allow subscriber to be just able to use the add new listing function shown in all listings tab...Please help me out, I found your plugin very good but lacking this facility..If it can be made easy to add capability directly to plugins, it would be very useful without entering into the code of plugin.

    Warm regards,
    Sumit

    Hi there, for some plugins such as wp-property it directly shows custom capabilities functions, can it be updated for all the plugins.

    Hi,

    This plugin (fs-real-estate) and a lot of others use WordPress built-in capabilities. That's why it is impossible to show in custom capabilities section for all plugins.

    fs-real-estate uses these permissions:

    $FSREPAdminPermissions = 'administrator';
    $FSREPMemberPermissions = 'subscriber';

    Thus, if your subscriber can not do something with this plugin, he should become administrator to make those things. There is no anything between these two positions.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the fast reply..But if I make him administrator then he may misuse it..After a long thought I have changed my role of admin to subscriber and new member's role to admin...In the capabilities I have selected same capability as of 'subscriber in admin' and as of 'admin in subscriber' i.e I have reversed the capabilities...It work's great for me..
    I would like to know if there might be any problems with such setting...Secondly how to remove manage capability from admin capability now, i thnk that can be managed because it relates to your plugin settings...

    Warm regards,
    Sumit

    Hi Sumit,

    Change roles by places is not a good idea. Because of you will use other plugins, definitely. Those plugin will use standard WP roles by name too. Accidentally you may get a large problem with such a mess.

    It's more secure to open define.php from 'fs-real-estate' folder and change role name to that, what you wish, there. Just remember, that you will need to do that again after every plugin update.
    Or look on 'Admin menu editor' plugin, which helps to change menu items permissions of the fly, including plugins created.

    Regards,
    Vladimir.
